Oh Capri.
so incredibly beautiful!
I took my last 2 Glam Italia tricks to fool around glamorous on the more chic island in the Mediterranean (and perhaps the world?).
I've chartered a private boat to take us on a half day around the island, with several stops to swim in the sapphire blue waters off the coast of Capri.
really I should devote a post to the hott-ness and fun total which was Captain Paolo, but I do not know who might embarrass, so I won't.
Baring in mind that there are a lot of glamour to follow, I normally would have be stressed to get my wet hair and the fiasco total Frizz leads that would have followed, or I could have dried swimming. (Which would have been completely lame.)
those of you who are not Jennifer Aniston might understand the problem. You see I never get out of the sea and get hair that is glorious with beachy waves.
I get frizzy and drab, completely trashed looking for hair that I compare to a permanent home that went terribly wrong. It is quite mortifying.
this trip even if I came armed with the right things, in the form of Ouidad travel size of magic potions. I brought the travel size Curl Essentials trial fixed with me.
my hairdresser (to whom I give all the credit) put me with 3 products guaranteed to bring out the curl and amplify the brightness upward.
the first is moisture Lock leave in conditioner that you put in your hair before going in the water.
he times protects your hair and it maintains flexible rather than ocean-fragility, but also hydrate from the inside, which is a key element of creating perfect curls after bathing. For those of you with the hair color, it adds an extra layer of protection treatment.
(I should add here that my Italia Tour Glam travellers who have hair stiff he used too and post bathing were beautiful, shiny locks).
once out of the water and towel dry, you use the climate control heat and humidity Gel . There is a trick to this. She told me to raking the gel in my hair with my fingers and then hold the ends and shake them, literally shake the curl in your hair.
looks much more dramatic than it actually - is because that's not dramatic at all. The whole "rake and shake" is in fact doubly brilliant because it lets dry your hair faster.
the last part of the equation for me has spray a little botanical Boost refreshing Spray in my hair once it was dry. (I used the next day too to refresh the loop a little.)
, I loved my Ouidad hair!
as the night went on until the wee hours, and my hair rather than turn into a ball of static Frizz - stayed wavy hair curly and shiny throughout the night. To the fact that it took about 2 minutes of my time to do everything by flirting madly with Captain Paolo, I was thrilled to pieces!
I don't think I'll bother with blow dry and do when I travel. Indeed, after Capri the rest of my time in Italy was with Ouidad's hair, which was a first for me! Normally, I'm wasting time smoothing my hair when I am traveling.
the only drawback to my story Ouidad is on the way back to the United States I flew through London Heathrow Airport with my travel size Ouidad products in my carry on luggage with my jeans skin care products and a bunch of makeup products, they were confiscated. It is super annoying, but on the positive side, they were only travel size so are not expensive to replace.
