7 more Things To Do In Florence

Vermont, Burlington - Report by Mia. Today, we will give information about 7 more Things To Do In Florence .

I love Florence.
Florence is one of those towns that I can't always enough of. Whenever I go I always discover something new. In the last 6 months, I've been in Florence three times and each time leaving felt a bit like trying to die. I can't wait to go back.

last morning in Florence. I never want to leave...

I wrote before about 30 things to do in Florence, the morning in Florence, 10 things you must do in Florence, and now I'm fresh out of the plan to return to the House of Florence again so while it is fresh in my mind, here are 7 more things to do in Florence

for you 1. Go to Santa Croce

the best Church in the whole of Florence art is inside the Basilica Santa Croce.

the frescoes of this church are just huge.

dating from the 1300's, they are always true in color, are absolutely breathtaking and as an art lover they never fail to bring tears to the eyes.

back together to the 1280's and Cimabue crucifix that severely damaged in the 1966 flood is always poignant beauty.

, while the rest of Florence will be full at the seems with tourists, virtually none make their way to the Basilica Santa Croce, which suits me fine! Art is much more enjoyable when you're not trying to see 5 people deep.

2. Buy leather jackets to Jimmy

I wrote about leather Jimmy before buying, (actually this blog still gets hundreds of hits per week) and I constantly get messages from readers who make their way to Jimmy leather Collection in Piazza San Lorenzo and buy his fantastic leather jackets. It is quite fabulous and fun experience, and Jimmy designs are to die for.

3. Walk to Piazzale Michelangelo Before Sunset

twilight of Piazzale Michelangelo

I haven't had in years, but on the second 2016 Glam Italia Tour we took a walk in the early evening across the Arno River on the Ponte alla Carraia and worked our way up to the River in the charming residential and much less touristy, Oltrarno to Piazza Poggi, where we ended our way to the top of the Hill for Piazzale Michelangelo as dusk fell.
the opinion of Florence after a day spent exploring the city and the top is just beautiful you not only ge t breathe some more fresh, quieter air, but you get a magnificent view of the ground you've covered so far.

and of course there's the guy in green on the Hill, watching over the city!

4. Take in the sunset of Ponte Alle Grazie

of Piazzale Michelangelo, it is maybe 10 minutes walk to Ponte alle Grazie bridge which is the perfect place to take the setting sun, looking down from the Arno to Ponte Vecchio.

5. Take an aperitif

after taking in the sunset from the Ponte Alle Grazie continue to walk over the bridge and continue up through the intermediary of Benci a block or two to the intersection with via dei Neri and Dei Tintori, where you will find several options to sit at a sidewalk table and enjoy an aperitif. It used to be that aperol spritz was a drink you associate with Venice, but now it's worldwide. After the sunset on the deck trying to drink a spritz of the colorful sunset.

6. The sandwich to the best of your life.

seriously. The best sandwich ever.

I discovered this when I rented an apartment at the corner, and every night, I see people spill off Al Antico Vinaio throughout the night.

street of sandwiches, Florence

everyone was wandering in the street with these giant sandwiches, or sitting on the pavement with the sandwich in one hand and a large glass of red wine in the other. When I travel, one of my rules is eat eating people of the country, avoid where tourists eat and absolutely never eat at any restaurant that has pictures in the menu.

the three of us had sandwiches of al Antico Pompéi for our last night in Florence

you can order off the menu, simply choose from the list of Favorites and have the way it was meant to be consumed. You will get a giant sandwich on fresh focaccia, with local cream pecorino cheese, on a book of freshly cut sarah or porchetta, a slice of Eggplant marinated in pepper flakes and olive oil and maybe some Arugula. What you will not see, is processed foods, condiments like mayonnaise and mustard, without adding salt and pepper. Its real food all that just explodes with flavor and needs no additives. And it only costs $5.
If you don't believe me read their reviews - dream of people on these sandwiches.
Al Antico Vinaio is on via Dei Neri 2 minutes walk from the Palazzo Vecchio.

7. End your evening With A View

Florence has so many spectacular views, be they of the roofs of the city, squares, monuments, buildings - so many amazing things to look! So take the time at the end of the night to sit some pafabulous RT with a glass of wine and enjoy a view to remember forever.

where to sleep in Florence:
I'm not much of a girl to the hotel when I'm in Italy, I prefer to rent an apartment instead. One of my friends comes to his apartment to San Lorenzo to holiday on AirBnB.
