How to beat Jet Lag

New Jersey, Newark - Report by Abigail. Today, we will give information about How to beat Jet Lag .

to let you know already my main gig is to be a makeup artist. This has been my career for years.
my second concert is blogging. I write around my crazy makeup schedule.
what you don't know is that I have a third company that takes small groups of women under 35 and more on the private tours of the Italy. They are called the Glam Italia towers. Because frankly, they are really very glam!

in June, I have two rounds of Glam Italia, back to back. I'm so happy, because the Italy is my favorite place in the world to be.

with the combined total of these two rounds I have a person who has already landed on the international stage before.
I think there are probably a lot of you who read this blogpost that have never flown internationally (or maybe never embarked on a really long before international flight) or who embark on a great trip like a trip to Europe this summer.

the devil in the long-haul travel is the dreaded jet lag.
the lag can fly the first days of your trip if you're not lucky.
, it can leave you in a brain fog, bloated, tired and irritated and have let you wake up to 02:00 and you barely able to put one foot before the other 20:00

flight to Australia or New Zealand to the USA gets me every time. The adjustment is always difficult, in part because I get a heavy dose of nostalgia to pair with it, and partly because I break most of my rules to overcome jet lag.

for my Glam round ladies and anyone else makes some big trips this year, here is how to beat jetlag

before leaving the House

therefore, a large part of the key to beat the Jet lag that happens before you leave home.

1. Download additional Sleep

for as many nights as you can, go to bed earlier than usual. An extra hour or more of sleep per night for a few nights can make a big difference. One of the worst things you can do is deprived of sleep to flight international.
even if you don't sleep on airplanes is not deeply relaxing, restful sleep. Unless you are up in first class.
for those of you who take a sleeping pill, know that's not good sleep either. (and, oh Lord!) Make sure you take Ambien - naked person Hello equips on the plane!)

2. Get the extra exercise

I like to do additional yoga in the days leading up to a long flight and especially this morning if I can. I have friends who like to run (I hate to run) that add a little extra effort or two in the days before their trip. Something that you will never be, never getting caught.
regardless of your exercise of choice, go ahead. Cardio and stretching/yoga/pilates training types are usually the best. Bulky heavy lifting, not so much.

3. Super-Hydrate

for each hour that you're up there, you will lose an additional
8 oz of water. You need to drink tons of water during your flight, but also extra drinking in the days leading up to it.

4. Avoid alcohol

not party-hearty before leaving. The effects of alcohol stay with you for a few days, to have a bunch of drinks in the days before the flight can add to the dehydration - feel like the syndrome of hell that goes with the Jet lag.

5. Watch what you eat.

either in the terminal before your flight or if its at home, avoid high sodium, salty foods, processed foods and cruciferous vegetables (such as broccoli). They pump you up and make you gaseous.

during the flight

1. Watch Your Set

set your watch to your new time zone when your plane takes off.
you need to do your best to fool your brain into believing it is 02:00 not 16:00. If it's time to sleep instead you will arise, try to sleep. If she wakes up time here, stay awake. Do whatever it takes to make your mind think it is already on the new time.

2. Avoid alcohol

alcohol will be super you dehydrate and make you feel like hell when you land.
saying, I always have a glass of wine with my meal and a glass of champagne before taking off when I fly first class.
If you want to have a drink with dinner, keep it for a drink and have an extra glass of water after, to try to compensate.

3. Wear the socks of Compression

absolutely UN-more sexy things ever, compression socks maintain blood flow moving and stop your feet and ankles from swelling. They also help to reduce the odds of getting you DVT. I would not fly without them.

If your seat does not have a stool or a foot put a bag under the seat in front of you and raise your feet even a few inches.

4. Sleep

If you can sleep during the flight
a mask for the eyes, neck pillows, earplugs can all contribute.
If you can't sleep on planes try using anti-noise headphones to eliminate the buzz and listen to yoga nidra. They say an hour of yoga nidra is equal to 4 hours of quality sleep. I have download programs of yoga nidra on my iPad, and if the company has not offered it on their entertainment system I plug just in my own.
the one I use has some Aussie dude chatting about it. It's great.

when you land

1. Get on hour local
regardless of the degree of fatigue, you are, get on the local time.
if it's time for lunch, go for lunch. If it's at night, go for a walk and then go to bed. If it's early in the morning, have breakfast - even if you're not hungry.

2. Walk. Walk and walk.

is one of the best things you can do after you have verified your hotel or anywhere where you are staying, go for a long walk.
it becomes your circulation moving again, help your body after its been locked up in a little Chair for hours, and get it out of your mind.
I swear by it.

3. Don't NAP.

regardless of how tired you are, always moving and don't NAP. You have to go the local time, and that Pan will spoil you and you put in your previous time zone.

4. Hydrate

drink as much water as you can to help offset what you just lost in flight. You will be amazed at how much better you feel!

5. Stretch

a few sun salutations go a long way after a long flight. If you're not a yogi, always take the time to do some stretching. Your body needs it and you will feel so much better for it!
