have you ever thought about having a destination wedding on the Amalfi Coast?
I've been on the Amalfi Coast for a few days in December, working on new details for my next Glam Italia laps.
my friend Adriano de Falco is a tour guide for the Amalfi coast and the Cilento.

, while we were Scouting trips for my next rounds of Glam Italia, Adriano took me up to the incredible Castello di Arechi, or Arechi Castle, a castle of the eighth century that is near the top on the Hill Guard on the beautiful coastal city of Salerno.

then he showed me around this incredible old Castle, Adriano told me fascinating stories about its history, what happened there 1400 years ago and why it was built.

at one point, we went out on a terrace with an incredibly beautiful view of the Bay that stretched up to Cilento , and which also overlooked the hills and trees.

a cloud over the December Sun early in the morning for a moment, then everything exploded in color once again.

while he told me at the scene, we could take my guests in Cilento, Adriano casually mentioned that it was from the terrace that they used for weddings.
waiting - what ?
Adriano knows me as a travel writer and private tour guide, so he didn't know about the artist side of makeup in my life, let alone the makeup artist that makes weddings!

I can not even tell you how many wives over the years have told me that they would like a European destination wedding or a wedding in a castle or a wedding on the Amalfi coast, but the cost was too prohibitive.
I guess that you just have to know where to look!
If you check sheet to a cup of coffee for a wedding at the other end of the Amalfi coast in Positano, you will probably fall. But at the end South of the coast of Salerno, it's a completely different world.

Salerno is quite affordable. And its nice and there are a castle of the eighth century on the hill with views to die for and magnificent terraces to have your wedding or your wedding reception on.

my friends wedding photographers would be just like to shoot a wedding at the castle of Arechi! There are so many fantastic shooting locations.
also, there are tons of places to hide when you need a break in the action.

the Arechi Castle is in Salerno , at the South end of the Amalfi coast. You can fly into any Italian airport and take the fast train directly to Salerno.
Salerno is 40 minutes from Naples by train.
