when traveling by yourself, you should always take into consideration your safety and security.  At this time business travelers are more travellers just males, females account for 43% of business travelers.  Hotels and airlines are now obliged to make sure that they offer the safety and security of all the comments and responding to the needs of each.  Find advice on things you should do before taking a trip/vacation for yourself below:

make acquaintance with your destination

* Google your destination.  Discover the pros and cons of what is happening in the local community near your hotel.  If you find bad or negative possibilities which have recently occurred near your hotel; I would recommend that you change your accommodation.

* If you have found that your hotel is located in an untrusted or community that you would feel not comfortable jogging in the street with your IPOD , then I recommend you change your hotel accommodation.

* go to TripAdvisor.com - read testimonials from other travelers who are passionate about their stay and gave an honest review.  Only judge a hotel when you see a lot of current reviews that show a pattern of bad service, product or unique occurences.  A few incidents that you should pay attention to: bugs bed, lice, theft, harassment, theft, identity theft.  When you see comments on these types of incidents, you are entitled as a consumer to call the hotel and ask about this (before the hotel reservation)!

* city search-go online know what there is to do in this community.  Read the customer reviews.

* oven Square-a lot of people hate him, but there is more people who love him. Read the comments for your destination, hotel, restaurant, activities, etc...  These reviews are soft, warm and honest criticism or advice.  The average person on Four Square will leave the tip or review during their transactions.  You will be able to see if you are truelly avoid this restaurant or perhaps not to cross this dangerous community.

look at where your stay

* the hotel has exterior corridors?

* is the parking?  What is a well-lit parking lot?  Do you offer valet parking?

* your hotel room door has double locks? Or a security lock feature?

* investigate negative comments about safety on TripAdvisor with the hotel management team.  Call or email directly from their site of brand.

* stay away from hotels that are located just behind the highway.  They attract the comments of transit with no loyalty towards the hotel, area or community.  Hotels that are out of the highway also attract sex and drugs trades in the bedrooms.  It is a bad environment for any female travelling alone.

* if the hotel has outside corridors-Ask if you arrive late do they offer an escort in your room?  And they have security during the night?

to Check-In at your destination

* on arrival, make sure that you make a note of all the exits to the building.

* ask them if they have a service manager.  He is the person that contact you if something is happening during your stay.

* in the bar/restaurant never leave your food or drink from without assistance if your only eating!  Most of the restaurants will cover your food if you stand and almost all nonalcoholic drinks have refills.  If you must leave your drink request a refill in a new glass.

* If you pay anything in your room, not to say your room number out loud.  You can it right down or right there on your official receipt.

* whenever you leave your room.  Make sure that the door closes the tap.  Try the button to make sure it has itself locked completely.

do not hesitate to ask questions!   remember that the traveler you have a right to know .  Most hotels have a security plan in place, but sometimes it's good to know that all employees are aware of this program.  He brings a sense of security to each individual record.  Don't forget when planning Girlfriend Getaway Travel-same rules apply!  Have fun!
